We are seeking volunteer docents who will guide visitors through the “big house” as well as the grounds and outbuildings. We conduct six regular tours each day (3 on Sunday) and also conduct group tours for adults and children. From time to time we host special events to benefit the site and ask for volunteers for these occasions. |

Lead visitors on a tour through time... |
¨ You will meet wonderful visitors from all over the country and the world. ¨ You will be part of a fun and friendly group of volunteers and have the opportunity to participate in activities scheduled just for volunteers. ¨ We provide a script and training. ¨ We ask each docent to conduct at lest two tours per month—each tour takes approximately one hour. ¨ Period costume is available but not required. |
¨ Other volunteer opportunities include gardening and open hearth cooking! |
